A1. "By the Window"
$75.00

Framed print. Original art was Watercolor on paper, by CC Shong, featured in book of poetry “Daybreak” by the artist.

“Maybe you could talk to me
like one of the potted plants by the window
so my growing pains don't feel so tough
and I know what it feels like to be unfinished
but still enough
how were you so hurt
but so gentle now?
what a beautiful Life that you've carved out
I'm grateful for the space you've shared with me
I hope you'll see it makes me so happy
to admire you by your side
and never be asked to hide
I hope I give you more than I take
I hope I photosynthesis your light into something great I hope you see my growth and it makes you proud even when some of my leaves turn brown”

B2. Mosey
$75.00

Art Print, original art was acrylic on canvas by CC Shong, featured in the book “Dark Corners” by the art, accompanied with this poem.

“Water and a walk
you can't take me home
but you can lead me under
orange streetlights
oranges or peaches?
swaying cadence
sharp velvet tongues
smiles with a stranger
the rhythmic click
of boots to pavement
that hypnotized me
we amble on
we ramble on
carrying the weight of conversation on the canopy of chemistry
that has us strung together
ties of fate have us spun together an intricate web of dynamic rope in case of falling

in case of hope
just in case you thought
there was a chance of choice
your concerns have been voiced
the stars have heard them
and they're laughing
because the arrogance of humans
is honestly baffling
in all the galaxies the stars have aligned for you to have this moment tonight yet somehow you question
what is the goal
just take a breath
and take the stroll”

C3.Aorta Arils
$154.00

Original Art, by CC Shong, acrylic on canvas, framed. Featured in a book of poetry by the artist with this poem.

“I seem to like being hurt

that's how I manage to break my own heart on any given Monday
I'll crack it open like a pomegranate
to display the juicy details of my affections watch as the seeds get taken for granted precious fruit falling to the floor

discarded
so incredibly unguarded
this haven is still good for something
the good enough to house a broken heart it's a sanctuary for the dark
there's no complaints
as juices spread to the floor
and somehow there's still more
this abnormal fruit seems almost infinite as it's going
it wasn't finished yet
but there's comfort in knowing

that this agony won't fade
maybe you saw it and kept it for days maybe this fruit was so tart in your mouth that you're starting to taste my hurt now and now a seed is planted in your chest insisting on pomegranate blooms in spring that's the beauty my broken heart brings you'll feel no relief
you'll be haunted by these
seeds in your chest
and even when the roots have spread
you won't be dead
you'll be a walking reminder
of the things that I said
you'll be kinder
in the spaces that you tread
in the spaces we meet
it's good to know
I hurt for something”

D4. "unfinished"
$196.00

Original art, acrylic on canvas by CC Shong. Featured in the book Daybreak by the artist accompanied by this poem.

“Sometimes things begin
and they are beautiful and magical then suddenly comes
a bitter end
but that is not how I see this
no
I see this more like
a skein if thread
that promised to be a tapestry
yes the promise was intricate
and the progress was beautiful
but the project simply remains unfinished
and there are no plans to continue”
